STRIPPED DOWN ENERGY AT MK THEATRE FROM MONDAY WITH THE FULL MONTY

It was a movie that caught imaginations and went on to become one of the most successful British films ever made.

The story of six out-of-work Sheffield steelworkers with nothing to lose, who decided to show their 'cheeky' side caught attentions and made us laugh.  Lots.

It was back in 1997 that the film wowed us (can you believe it was that long ago?) but now the stage version is coming to put smiles on faces all over again.

It rocks up, and strips off at MK Theatre from Monday (Jan 19), the start of a six-day stay.

A great cast will be doing justice to Simon Beaufoy's writing, led by former Footballer's Wives and Dancing on Ice trophy taker Gary Lucy, starring as Gaz.

Louis Emerick, as famous for playing Mick Johnson in Brookside as for his recurring role in Last of the Summer Wine, becomes Horse, and Andrew Dunn (who played Tony in Dinnerladies and also has extensive theatre credits under his hat) is Gerald.

Joining them will be Martin Miller as Dave, Bobby Schofield (making his stage debut) as Lomper and Rupert Hill in the role of Guy.

They might be getting their bottom's out, but all you have to do is seat yours and enjoy the view, whoops, we mean show!

Tickets for The Full Monty, and its stack of iconic pop hits by artists including Tom Jones, Donna Summer and Hot Chocolate, start at £11.50 and rise to £32.
