A Newport Pagnell man has written a book telling the story of his time in jail in Ecuador.
'During a routine trip in Ecuador, Steven White, a 33-year old wildlife fanatic and adventure tour leader was involved in a fatal and tragic accident while driving a tourist vehicle.
'Critically injured, clouded with grief and mixed emotions found himself battling a corrupt legal system and his shady lawyers, and he was convicted by a grubby judge and detained in a political prison with crazy cops and military madmen.
'Join Steve on his surreal journey of friendship and hope, pain and despair as he struggles to recover his health, his life and his freedom, in this heartbreaking and engaging tale from a very different jail.'
'Prisoner: Broken Bones & Shattered Dreams' is being launched at The Swan Hotel in Fenny Stratford today (Saturday, May 12).
The book signing and party will take place at 7pm with a Q&A with Steve folowed by a live DJ and free buffet.
Tickets are £10 and you'll find more information www.steviewhitesworld.com
