CAUGHT LIVE: THE PROFESSIONALS ON ICE TOUR WOWS ONE LAST TIME, IN MILTON KEYNES
Chances are, whatever you've been getting up to this afternoon, it didn't glide along nearly half as well as the show we watched, when The Professionals on Ice brought down the curtain on their 2014 tour.
And they did so at the rather fabulous new Planet Ice rink, in the heart of the new city.
After nine series, ITV pulled the plug on Dancing on Ice earlier this year.
But based on the audience responses this afternoon, there is still a big appetite among the public for the icy-play. Someone at ITV might have made a boo-boo...
Favourite bits? Any number of drape lifts, death spirals and head bangers delivered expertly by the pro's, or maybe it was the appearance of students from the International School of Skating MK (ISSMK) and MK Figure Skating clubs who shone brightly.
Not everything was slick and smooth though, and at one point a right pair of clowns showed out on the ice.
No worries though – it was ace skater and creative producer Vicky Ogden and her partner - and hubby - Sam Attwater...in character, of course.
For Vicky the last show of the tour was also a homecoming appearance – she grew up in Milton Keynes and was the first skater from MK to compete in the national championships, while aged just 11.
Sam wasn't the only Dancing on Ice champion entertaining us, and Suzanne Shaw – who took the title in series three – also joined the bill.
Deputy Milton Keynes Mayor Keith McLean was among those watching as the stars wowed their fan-base, and for newbies in the audience the show proved the perfect ice-breaker to the pursuit.
Fiery (on occasion, literally), feisty and fabulously fun, Professionals on Ice made a chilly November afternoon sizzle.
