CONTEMPORARY CHOIR SET TO ROCK AT STANTONBURY THEATRE
Singers from a city choir are practising their harmonising ahead of a spectacular concert on Tuesday (July 15).
Milton Keynes Rock Choir will entertain with an uplifting mixture of pop, gospel, Motown and chart songs in ‘Rock Choir – The Choir That Rocks’, a one-night-only show at Stantonbury Theatre.
Classic numbers from the BeeGees, Bon Jovi and Heather Small and more contemporary tunes by Bruno Mars, The Darkness and Olly Murs will have the audience boogying in their seats all evening.
Members are led by Cambridge University music graduate Lottie Greenhow – one of 55 Rock Choir leaders nationwide.
The concert will be her swansong as Milton Keynes Rock Choir leader - she is leaving the post to pursue a full-time classical singing career.
Lottie has been keenly rehearsing the Rock Choir repertoire with the MK group and is looking forward to seeing the singers take to the stage under her direction.
This latest production will be performed with the contemporary choir’s usual energy, exuberance and - as befits the Rock Choir approach – enjoyment.
The performance starts at 8pm and tickets are £12.
