FLOCK TOGETHER FOR RSPB NATURE RESERVE PRESENTATION

The North Bucks branch of the RSPB flock together once again this Thursday evening (Jan 8) for another talk at the Cruck Barn, Bradwell Abbey.

This time, visitors will be treated to an insider view of the closest RSPB reserve to Milton Keynes, and it's closer than you might think - just past Islip at Otmoor.

Barry Oxley will be sharing his knowledge of the reserve of wet meadows and reedbeds, and talking about the work that has been done to enhance the habitats and some of the reserves forward-looking initiatives, including a wildflower project.

Since retiring from his family business in horticulture, Barry has taken to travelling in pursuit of his passion for birds, wildlife and the natural world.

He is an active supporter and volunteer of the RSPB and committed to nature conservation.

Furthermore, the generous chap donates all of his fees to further the RSPBs work - on Otmoor and other chosen conservation projects.

The talk, 'Otmoor - past, present and future' will begin at 7.45pm (doors from 7.15pm).

Admission is £2.50 for members, £3.50 for visitors and £1 for children.

Free refreshments will be served during the interval.
