Step back in time and experience life the way it used to be when Milton Keynes Museum's popular Victorian Weekend returns this June 17 & 18.
If you think school is tough now, you need to experience life as a pupil back then – and the Museum will be offering multiple mini-lessons in its school room each day.
Mess about or back-chat the teacher at your peril!
Welsh cakes will be cooked up in the Victorian Cottage, activities will be taking place in the Victorian Pharmacy and themed crafts will keep young history fans entertained across the weekend.
The event comes with a Royal seal of approval too; Queen Victoria – and her ladies in waiting - will be putting in an appearance both days.
If you want to spend more time with HM, the Museum is once again offering visitors the chance to enjoy afternoon tea with Queen Victoria. How would you like to have a natter with her over the finest bone china? (Pre-bookings only, and numbers are limited).
Please mind your Ps and Qs though, or one will most certainly not be amused!

Neil Storey is an ace tale teller and he will capture young imaginations with a story about London after Midnight. And for the grown ups? A little look back over the gruesome murders committed by the hands of the infamous and elusive Jack the Ripper...
If you get fed up filling the washing machine, spare a thought for our Victorian ancestors who had an altogether more laborious task when it came to laundry day – and the Museum will be showing you how they did it.
Perhaps you are lucky enough to have a costume, uniform badge or other heirloom or curiosity from the era and want to know more about its history; Graham Bandy will be set up and ready to answer your questions – so go dig those items out from the back of the garage or that loft space.
With music from the Wolverton Town Band (on the Saturday) and a violinist (Sunday), shooting displays from the Die Hard soldiers, and puppet shows, the event will be bursting with fun for all ages.
When you want to relax or feel a bit peckish, a trip to the Granary Tearoom with its selection of savoury snacks and homemade cakes will refuel you, and don't forget to explore the Museum's extensive green space.
You'll need to keep your wits about you though; the Ragged Victorians come straight from the pages of Oliver Twist and will be showing the other side of Victorian life on site all weekend.
Be careful because they might pick a pocket or two!
Standard admission prices apply – which will also give you FREE entry for the following 12 months; adults £15, concessions £12, child £10.
A family ticket (admitting two adults and up to four children) is £40.
