Spring half term will soon be upon us – a chance for children to down their pens and pencils and set about having some serious fun, and they will find no better place to do so than at Milton Keynes Museum.
This time around youngsters are being invited to Capture the Colours, as the museum brings a splash of brightness to an otherwise gloomy February. It will be delving into the science of colour with fun experiments and emotion potion making.
There will also be a colour scavenger hunt through the galleries, ensuring creative little minds are kept busy.
Half term week at the museum will actually run across two weeks (February 11-22), catering for youngsters from neighbouring areas.
As is traditional, it will boast something for everyone, with all the usual museum attractions taking attentions too.
From sending morse code, to making hot buttered toast over the range in the traditional farmhouse kitchen, there is plenty to see and do.
The fun Connected Earth Gallery offers dialling delight, you can step back in time with a walk through the street of shops, or check out the way lessons used to be, in the Victorian school room.

Motoring enthusiasts will love the Hall of Transport, and long before smart phones, television and gadgets ruled the world, parlour games were the entertainment choice.
Explore how our predecessors had fun, and don't forget to show off your skills on the pianola, which makes anyone sound like a genius!
Come rain or come shine, Milton Keynes Museum has plenty to entertain young and old, and when you feel a bit peckish, the Granary Cafe will banish hunger pangs with affordable snacks and delicious home-made cakes.
