HALF TERM IDEAS: MK MUSEUM IS A SAFE BET FOR SUCCESS!

I’m bored!” If you’re a parent or carer, this phrase will be a familiar one, heard often, and particularly during school holidays, writes Sarah Davies.

But it doesn't have to be like that - you can nip boredom in the bud this half term by taking a family trip to Milton Keynes Museum. MK's home of history will be hosting five days of special activities geared to young visitors.

Listen ...can you hear that collective sigh of relief from parents?

Demonstrations and displays include crafts in the Victorian schoolroom, fascinating science with the museum's very own Professor Beamish, captivating optical toys and hands-on lessons in human communication in the Connected Earth gallery.

If that isn’t enough, youngsters will be invited to make hot buttered toast in the farmhouse kitchen, play games from another age in their toy room, experience an air raid in the Anderson shelter, learn how to play puff billiards - and a whole bunch of other brilliant attractions.

And keeping energy levels up is easy with a visit to the Granary café which will be serving up sandwiches and cakes for you to enjoy.

The Museum will be open between 11am – 4:30pm daily from Monday (Oct 26). A family ticket costs £22 for two adults and up to four children.
