Great Linford Manor Park – the Living Archive need your memories!
Thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund, The Parks Trust have secured a Parks for People grant for a project to reveal, revive and restore the heritage at Great Linford Manor Park.
Living Archive MK is working with them to collect people’s memories and photographs of the Park.
Did you travel on the “Newport Nobby” train from Newport Pagnell to Wolverton? Do you have any relatives who used to work on the canal or railway?
Do you get hedgehogs in your garden? Have you seen kingfishers flying along the canal?
Were you one of the first people to live in Great Linford when Milton Keynes became a New Town? Do you remember the new road layouts being put in around Great Linford village?
Do you have any photographs of the village from this time?
If so please join them for their Down Memory Lane afternoon – they’ll be showing photos and films from the Living Archive’s collection of local images and you can share your memories whilst enjoying some free tea and cake!
