HOME PERFORMANCE FOR BEN WESTLAKE THIS WEEKEND
A solo clarinet and a string quartet - the sounds you can expect if you pay a visit to the Church of Christ the Cornerstone this Saturday (June 28) lunchtime.
Milton Keynes-based clarinettist Ben Westlake, a former woodwind finalist in the search for the BBC Young Musician of the Year, is being joined by the Lunarys String Quartet, all talented scholarship students from the Royal College of Music.
Attendees will hear their delivery of music by Dvorak, before Ben joins them for Weber's great clarinet quintet - regarded as one of the masterpieces of the early Romantic period.
Admission to the concert is by programme, at £7.50 (£6.50 for concessions) £1 for children, and the show begins at midday.
