The century anniversary of the end of World War 1 is celebrated in 2018, and Bradwell Silver will commemorate the date with ‘Lest We Forget’ a charity concert at Stantonbury Theatre.
Bradwell Silver Band is honoured to be associated with The Chelsea Pensioners and have committed 50% of the profits raised from the show, on Saturday, November 10, will be donated to ‘The Scarlets Appeal’.
The In-Pensioners famous red coats are extremely heavy and in hotter weather can cause extreme discomfort. The Appeal has been created to raise money to provide lighter weight uniforms for the men and women who are proud to wear the Scarlet coat.
The band have invited the Pensioners to join the audience and look forward to seeing new and familiar faces as they perform music from the era as well as sing along tunes.
"We hope to see a full audience waving the Union Jack and remembering the brave who fought for our freedom," said a spokesman for the band.
