There is still time to sign up for the Ride for Willen Cycling Sportive in aid of Willen Hospice, taking place at Cranfield University on Sunday 1 September.
Cyclists can choose from four scenic routes; 40 miles, 65 miles, and the new 85 miler, plus a 5 mile route for families. Each route starts from Cranfield University, passing through the beautiful areas surrounding Milton Keynes, including the Woburn Abbey Estate and Aylesbury Vale.
Roger Goddard, who rode 65 miles on a tandem bike with his wife last year, said “We both really enjoyed Ride for Willen, and we’re actually doing it again this year. It was a great ride and the route went through some lovely villages and countryside.”
Ride for Willen is open to individual cyclists or teams wishing to ride together. Riders will receive an electronic chipped bib, mechanical support, food stations on all routes over five miles, and a BBQ at the finish line.
