MK Natural History Society has an offer and a half for you this week - the opportunity to get up close to creepy crawlies!
The have partnered with The Parks Trust for Saturday's (July 4) Nature Day, which is being held in memory of the history society's founding member Brian Frewin (below).
The free event offers something for all ages, including nature walks, bug hunting, a reptile display, pond dipping, static owl display and children's activities.
"It's aim is to show lots of people the delights of this beautiful wood, so hopefully lots of you will come along to enjoy the day," said Natural History Society chair, Julie Lane.
Nature Day will run between midday and 3pm. Meet in the car park on the H7, Chaffron Way.
Leave the motor at home and do your bit to calm pollution - take the Arriva 2 or 8 buses which drop off close by.
And if that is your chosen mode of transport to take you to the event, exchange your ticket upon arrival for a free cup of coffee or tea.
