On the eve of Remembrance Sunday, Milton Keynes' premier chamber choir Polymnia presents a programme of meditative music to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of the armistice which marked the end of hostilities in the First World War.
The music ranges from pieces by contemporary British composers such as Elgar and Parry to folksongs and popular songs of the time. Also featured are works by composers from other nations involved in the conflict: Pizzetti (Italy), Rachmaninov (Russia), Ravel (France) and Reger (Germany).
The concert of choral music is a moving tribute to the occasion, with readings and projected images.
Saturday's (November 10) concert is being hosted at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone in CMK, starting from 7.45pm.
Interval refreshments are provided by Hilton Milton Keynes in aid of their Charitable Foundation.
All profits from ticket sales and all proceeds from the collection will go to Help for Heroes
