Shoppers flock to the last Handmade & Vintage extravaganza of 2017

From classic Ladybird books to gramophones blaring, via retro furniture and handmade treasures, the first day of the Handmade & Vintage Fair was a real treat at centre:mk yesterday.

The last event of its kind in 2017 was bustling with folks soon after opening, and with bargains and treasures galore, there was nothing for it but to get lost in stalls of riches.

And what a lot there was – from original paintings and handmade crafts to deliciously moreish vegan peanut butter cookies, and a quite alluring alcohol stall. But then it'a always gin o' clock, right?!

Teddies and telephones, crockery and clothing (fans of Levi's were in luck) and oddities tempted the eye at every turn, and whether it was an antique or clever art creation, shoppers were spoiled for choice.

“It's raining outside, but I'm in here doing this...” we overheard one shopper telling a stall-holder, as he leafed through a pile of old film scores and theatre show programmes, “What could be better?”

Did you miss out yesterday? Don't worry – the Handmade & Vintage Fair is back in play today, during usual centre:mk opening hours.

Admission is free.
