It sounded ridiculous - an archaeological team going in search of the lost grave of King Richard III, the last English King to die in battle.
A waste of time and money, surely?
But the University of Leicester dug into the project regardless.
And by the time they had finished, all of the disbelievers had been silenced.
They uncovered not only the friary of Grey Friars, but also a battle-scarred skeleton with a spinal curvature.
Just over two years ago, the University announced they were the remains of the lost monarch.
The lead archaeologist from the University, Richard Buckley, will be sharing the background to the search, the discovery and the implications of the remarkable feat, with a talk at Stowe School on Tuesday (Feb 24), from 7.30pm.
Tickets for the fascinating insight are on sale at £8 and can be purchased online at www.stowearts.co.uk or by calling 0845 680 1926.
