After a sold-out music night in Newport Pagnell in March, arts collective Where Two Rivers Meet present The Parlor Sessions on June 29.
Once again hosted at St Peter and St Paul’s Church, Newport Pagnell the audience can expect an ambient soundscape from ex Capdown member, Andy Hunt with visuals from Scotty.
Howling Bee (AKA Craig Brown) will be performing the most heartfelt songs in his inimitable style from his album ‘Endings & Beginnings’, with guest singers.
And The Leon Hudston Band are back headlining with their local star-studded band featuring Rich Patmore of Rise Bailey Rise and Daniela Bove of the Belongings, rounding off this unique evening, showcased in the atmospheric surroundings.
As well as giving locals some much-requested live music, Where Two Rivers Meet events also raise funds for the medieval church. The group is excited to open the church to the music community, and to make the most of its incredible acoustics, filling it with sound and light.
June’s event promises to build on the success of March’s Parlor Sessions, when the team highlighted the cultural and historical importance of the church and its plans to develop the facilities to make it easier for communities to also use the space between services.
Profits from The Parlor Sessions event will go towards a project to develop St Peter and St Paul’s Church to hold more of these community events, by putting in even better lighting, sound, heating and adaptable seating.
They have just completed a first phase on putting a kitchen in (the bar!) and new toilets.
