Artists show out at the inaugural Milton Keynes Open exhibition

Westbury Arts Centre are launching a new initiative, “Milton Keynes Open”, to celebrate creative talent in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas.

Over the past few months Westbury Arts Centre have put a call out to artists to submit their artwork.

A panel of judges have then had the difficult task of choosing what works will be displayed within the centres dedicated exhibition space during the summer exhibition which takes place over the weekend of the 13th and 14th of July 2019.

Office and Programme manager, Tryph Foster, says “We have been encouraging all artists to apply, whether an amateur, student, professional or somebody who just dabbles in their spare bedroom! We’ve had a fantastic range of entries so the exhibition promises to be rich and diverse”

As well as the exhibition taking place over that weekend there will also be artists demonstrating throughout the weekend, Children’s activities as well as local food vendors.

Westbury Arts Centre is just minutes away from Milton Keynes’ centre and of course the Redway System also passes close by for walkers and cyclists.

The exhibition will be open from 11am-4pm. Entry to the exhibition is free and open to everybody.
