Milton Keynes artist responds to Ukraine horror

The horror currently being inflicted on Ukraine is difficult to comprehend, but people have been responding in very individual ways, and for Milton Keynes artist Shelly Wyndebank that meant getting creative.

The result is a particularly striking mixed media collage she has called Ceasefire.

“Watching the events unfold in the Ukraine over the last few weeks has had such an impact on us all, and while donating to various organisations helps to show unity, I still felt compelled to record this point in history, to stand witness and stand with the Ukrainian people against the Russian aggressors,” she told Total MK.

The impressive A2 sized creation has made quite an impact since Shelly revealed it on social media and she is currently working on having prints made up to sell.

“All funds generated will go to the help those displaced by this conflict,” Shelly said.
