Meet YouTube sensations the Sacconejoly's in Milton Keynes

The UK’s best-loved YouTube family, the Sacconejoly's are coming to WHSmith's at centre:mk on Friday (October 27) to sign copies of their first picture book, The Sacconejolys and The Great Cat-Nap, which came out last week.

Aimed at pre-schoolers, the book was born by Jonathan and Anna Saccone Joly’s passion and belief in the importance of reading to children.
Since welcoming three of their own, Emilia, Eduardo and Alessia, they have read books to them everyday and witnessed the huge benefits to their children’s imagination and ability to read and write.

The Great Cat-Nap, inspired by the family’s adorable six Maltese dogs, is an action-packed story, full of fun, adventure and mischief, which tells the tale of Emilia who wants something that only a girl with six dogs would want – a cat!

So her six loyal dogs make it their mission to be the best dogs ever and cat-nap a local moggy. But no matter how hard they try, they are foiled left, right and centre by cunning cats. How will they help Emilia get her wish?

The Sacconejoly's YouTube channel started 8 years ago following the life of Jonathan and Anna and their now three children andsix dogs. They are the largest family channel in Europe. The Irish vloggers, now living in London, post a video every day and have a global reach of eight million, their YouTube channel has nearly 670 million views and over 1.8 million daily subscribers.

Jonathan Saccone Joly said: “The two biggest achievements in life are my kids and my creative work; I wanted to do something which amalgamated the two together and that was the inspiration for The Great Cat-Nap. When I was a kid, I used to spend most of my days living out my life inside my head my imagination was a never-ending playground!

"Eleven years ago, I went back to university to study interactive media, and somewhere between that time and now I discovered YouTube and ended up with six dogs and three kids and almost two million friends.

"Anna and I have always read to our kids in a bid to help them develop their own imaginations, and reading to them has made me fall in love with books all over again.’

The family will be in store at 10am.
