There is no drink more fashionable than gin in the current climate. In recent years the top tipple has had a PR overhaul, and gone from mother's ruin to the most wanted of spirits.

It's great news for gin lovers, and there is now so much choice - from botanicals to blood red orange flavoured, and everything in-between.

If things are a bit manic this Christmas, don’t get stressed - gin and bear with it with a glass of Biggar Gin!

The newly founded craft brand is a family business, started by two brothers in Biggar, near the Scottish borders, which explains that name.
They have taken plenty of inspiration from their surroundings too; local botanicals found close their home by the Tinto Hills inspire their creativity.
The Bigger taste test has has already bagged them awards for their small scale, rare, batch.

Biggar is available at many outlets in Scotland, with more stockists to follow, but for the moment, the only way to get it elsewhere is to order online.

It means that your gin loving relative gets an unexpected treat in his or her stocking on December 25...

Not everyone likes spirits though. How do you treat the lager lover in your life this yuletide?

Simple; Show them to the King Cobra!

It is brewed using ale yeast, and is double fermented in the bottle. What does that mean for the drinker? In short, they get a super-premium, full-bodied taste. It's not the usual approach to brewing, but the unorthodox approach gives  King Cobra its warming, powerful depths.

The special feel doesn't start and stop with the palate teasing either; it can do classy too - and is served in a champagne bottle, beer-cause beer lovers deserve a festive treat too!
King Cobra is suitable for vegans, and proves that great things can be affordable.
