Heart of a Coward to play hometown Milton Keynes show

Heart of a Coward make their long overdue return to the stage on local soil this weekend, when they'll make the newly installed air-con at The Craufurd Arms earn its keep!

Plenty has happened to the band in recent times - including a long and twisted road of ups and downs and following the departure of frontman Jamie Graham in March 2017.

"The future of the band was cast into doubts," says drummer Chris, "We gathered together and all agreed we didn't want it to be the end, there was still mileage in the band and things to be achieved, so we set about the process of holding auditions."
It took a time, but following a hiatus of more than a year and a half, the band re-emerged in March this year with the new single Collapse, and they announced a new frontman; Kaan Tasan was now in control of the mic.

"None of us knew how it would all go down and changing a lead vocalist in a band is no easy feat to pull off," Noddy said.

"We were blown away with the response. Nearly 100,000 plays of the video and currently more than 800,000 streams over 65 countries on Spotify alone."

Feeling confident after that response, the band piled the gear into the van and headed out on a UK headline tour in support of the single.

London, Birmingham, Manchester and Bournemouth were treated to the taut machine. Three of the shows were sold-out in advance.

"It felt like forever since we had been on stage together and the reception and energy from the crowd was unreal, we came off stage every night absolutely buzzing," Chris said.
"We now have new management and a new record label in place and are currently locked away completing our fourth album, which is planned for release in 2019.

"There are some exciting new sounds emerging from the studio and we can wait to unleash it."

Unsurprisingly, tickets for Saturday's night (September 8) gig are all sold-out, but check in with the venue in case of returns.
