The quietness of Ampthill Park was shattered in great style on Friday night, at the 9th annual AmpRocks Festival.

Thousands made the most of the sun-drenched site to enjoy music by Glastonbury rockers Reef, rapper Example and headliners, pop trio Bananarama.

The girls treated the lively crowd to chart hits including Robert De Niro's Waiting, I'm Your Venus, I Want You Back and Rough Justice.

“We are already working on next years festival and we promise to work hard to raise the bar even higher,” said AmpRocks chairman Mark Tiana.

A proms event was also hosted in the park on Saturday, and a gala day wound up the three days of fun on Sunday.
