REVIEW: PAUL CARRACK CAUGHT LIVE AT MK THEATRE

PAUL CARRACK, MK THEATRE, SUNDAY, MARCH 29, 2015

It's the last night of the tour at MK Theatre for the man with that voice, Paul Carrack.

Opening with Satisfy My Soul and quickly followed by Tempted (via his days with Squeeze), he then gave us his early single arrangement of Jackie De Shannon's When You Walk In the Room.

From his new album Rain or Shine we had One in a Million, and That's All That Matters to Me, dedicated to his wife and daughter respectively.

Swapping guitar for keyboards throughout, things were well underway with the crowd enjoying every note of each song.

Eyes of Blue is a great ballad which hits home every time you hear it.

(If Loving You is Wrong), I Don't Wanna Be Right, from the Bobby Blue Bland catalogue is one Paul has just covered, also Brenda Lee's Losing You.

The six-piece band are all great musicians and had solo spots throughout.

Covering his career from Ace to the present day, other numbers included Don't Dream It's Over, Randy Newman's I Think It's Going to Rain Today and of course, The Living Years and How Long (Has This Been Going On).

With the sell-out crowd now on their feet and singing along, When My Little Girl is Smiling was also featured, and with the encore including Looking Back, and Make Your Mind Up it was an excellent last night from one of our finest.

Earlier we were treated to a very nice set from Liverpool's young melodic-folky singer-songwriter Robert Vincent, who was up in support.
