STEP UP FOR JOSH'S DARK-TWINGED STYLE

Josh Chandler Morris is back on home stomping ground on Friday (Oct 10) night when he rocks up at The Craufurd Arms to deliver his brand of roots, acoustic folk with his partner in sound, vocalist Carly Slade. They have spent the past few months honing the tracks you'll hear, and the work has been noticed by plenty of publications and radio folks who have been saying very nice things. Radio1 is the latest big player to pay attention. Their dark-twinged country approach to their deliveries has picked up comparisons with some of the true greats of American traditional music, but this isn't any easy duplication. Josh and Carly wear their backgrounds on their musical sleeves, allowing for a sound that manages to straddle the line between fresh and familiar. Take a trip to the Wolverton venue and have a listen - the stage will be occupied from 8pm, with support coming from fellow MK singer-songwriter Nancy Okai, and The Lion The Wolf and Luke Godwin. And if its a folkin' cheap night out you seek, you'll get none better - admission is free.
