VOLUNTEERING: THE COWPER & NEWTON MUSEUM NEEDS YOU!

If you find yourself at a loose end and are looking to fill some time, joining the Cowper and Newton Museum as a volunteer could be just the thing as we delve into the new year, writes Sarah Davies.

It's a great way to socialise, while helping Olney's history hub to flourish.

Whether you want to be a 'face' of the place or work behind the scenes, there is plenty of activities to choose from: Front of house work to tour guiding, gardening, making refreshments, conservation, special events and leaflet distribution, all will benefit from added support.

There are perks to be had too; including an annual pass to the MK Heritage Consortium members – Bletchley Park, MK Museum, City Discovery Centre and Living Archives.

You will also receive a staff discount and be invited to social ‘get-togethers.'
