'Warm, embracing, intimate and engaging' - see Carol Laula in Milton Keynes

Carol Laula has been dear to Glasgow’s heart ever since her song ‘Standing Proud’ was chosen as the anthem for its year as European City of
Culture, way back in 1990.

Her eight albums to date have continued to showcase Laula’s vibrant voice and soulful folk-pop songwriting, interwoven with strands of country and blues.

In 2016 she issued The Bones of It! which featured a ramp of Scottish talent.
This lush recording continues to explore, life, love and loss to the full; she shares maturity of voice and of song-writing.
She followed the release by touring Scotland, was commissioned to open the Spree festival as well as performing at Celtic Connections.

Her live performances are warm, embracing, intimate and engaging; an immersive experience to be shared by everyone, both in the audience and
on the stage - and she is coming to deliver just that at The Stables in Wavendon on Sunday (October 1).
