Action4Youth’s disability bikes enable all children in Milton Keynes to enjoy a Cycle Xperience

Action4Youth, a leading charity in Milton Keynes, providing positive, often transformational experiences and activities to inspire children and young people, has a number of specially adapted bicycles suitable for those with additional needs.

The bikes, which can be hired from the Caldecotte Xperience, come in a variety of sizes and models, to suit a huge number of users, including tandem or side by side bikes, bikes with supportive torso strapping, an adult scooter and a wheelchair bike, enabling the whole family to enjoy a bike ride together.

There are suggested cycle routes and additional safety equipment available when hiring a bike, and with paths around the pretty village of Simpson and the scenic Caldecotte Lake a short cycle away, it is a great location for a bike ride with family and friends.

Jenifer Cameron, CEO of Action4Youth explains: “We are really excited to be able to offer these fantastic bikes, which add to our vast range of facilities and capabilities for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs. We want to give every child the opportunity to enjoy the thrill and excitement of outdoor adventure and activities and the Cycle Xperience is another way that we are able to do this.

“If you’ve got a child or children with additional needs and have never cycled with them, I would encourage you to give it a try, who knows it might be the start of a new journey for the whole family.”
