'ALL HANDS ON DECK' FOR DEMENTIA AWARENESS EVENT

We are currently in the middle of National Dementia week, and in Milton Keynes 'All Hands of Deck' is the title of an event happening across the city this morning (Friday) to raise awareness of the condition.

The event – run in conjunction with Dementia Action Alliance – will take place in three locations:

Queens Court at thecentre:mk

The Boulevard at intu

Kingston Centre, outside Tesco

Showing your support is simple – just turn up, take part in the linking of hands, and maybe share a few memories of those who live with dementia.

Milton Keynes MP's Iain Stewart and Mark Lancaster will be joining in with the linking of hands.

Participants are also encouraged to wear something blue to recognise the charity's Forget-Me-Not theme.

The events will begin simultaneously at 10am, carrying through to midday.  The linking of hands happens at 11am, and it is hoped this will become an annual event for Milton Keynes.

Lend your support and make it a success.
