Arts Gateway Milton Keynes moves home and launches Kickstarter campaign

The Milton Keynes-based arts charity, Arts Gateway, is moving.

The organisation's headquarters, Arts Central, has operated on a rolling monthly lease for the past three years.

Arts Central will have a new, long-term home in Kiln Farm starting at the end of this week.

This move poses many challenges in both logistics and financing. In order to raise much-needed funds, Arts Gateway has just launched a crowdfunding campaign via Kickstarter. The campaign will run for four weeks.

The money raised will be used to refit the 22,000-square-foot former industrial unit, transforming it into a vibrant home for 150-200 creatives, with specialist facilities including a 180-seat theatre.

Backers of the Kickstarter campaign may choose from a number of rewards, including membership of Arts Gateway, an invitation to the grand opening party, and even the chance to name parts of the new site.

Additionally, the talented residents of Arts Central are offering pieces of unique artwork and jewellery to backers, as well as workshops in a wide range of creative fields. These workshops would also make perfect team-building events for corporate sponsors.
