Investigation launched after man dies in knife incident in Milton Keynes

Police in Milton Keynes are investigating an unexplained death following an incident in Milton Keynes this morning (29/2) in which a man in his late forties has died of a knife wound.

Officers were called by South Central Ambulance Service to an address in Clay Hill, Two Mile Ash, Milton Keynes, at 9.15am this morning after a man was located inside a property with serious injuries.

Sadly, the man died at the scene, despite efforts from medical professionals to save his life.

Two people, a 24-year-old man from Nuneaton and a 49-year-old woman from Milton Keynes, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in police custody.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Jason Simpson of Force CID, based at Milton Keynes, said: “We are in the very early stages of this investigation, and at this time, the death is being treated as unexplained.

“We are working to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this incident and we have a scene-watch in place at the property. Two people are currently in custody.

“Although I appreciate the concern an incident such as this will cause in the local community, but at this early stage we are treating this as an isolated incident and there is no wider threat to the general public.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area while our investigations continue, and I would urge anybody who has any concerns or who has information about this incident to please speak to one of our officers, or call the 24-hour non-emergency number 101, quoting URN 450 (29/2).”
