Milton Keynes company supports Willen Hospice with vans

Two new Willen Hospice vans have taken to the roads thanks to the generous support of MK based Brian Currie Van Centre.

The company has gifted the graphics on the sides of the vans, which play an important role in helping the charity to communicate fundraising messages to a wide audience in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas.

“As a family run business in Milton Keynes for the past 45 years, we have known staff who have used the services of Willen Hospice and we feel it’s important that we contribute back into the local community to give something back to charity. We’re only too pleased to support Willen Hospice," Des Conway, head of business at Brian Currie Van Centre.

Lynn Reeves, area retail operations manager: “We have a good relationship with Brian Currie Van Centre, going back several years. We’re extremely grateful for this gift as it enables us to allocate more funds to care for our patients at the Hospice and in their own homes at a time when we need to raise £9 every minute to do so.”

The vans are used to collect large items from people donating furniture for resale, helping with house clearances and delivering purchases made from any of the three furniture shops, Buckingham, Bletchley and Kiln Farm.

Willen Hospice is grateful for the level of support shown by local companies and invites any other businesses that would like to be more involved in a local charity to contact them on 01908 303066.
