On her new appointment, Chief Inspector Gardner said: “I am really looking forward to returning to Milton Keynes in my new role as Deputy Commander.

"Policing faces unprecedented challenges and my response to those challenges will begin with care and regard for our officers and staff, developing and equipping them with the right tools which will ensure that they can deliver the security and resilience the communities of Milton Keynes expect.

“I will endeavour to deliver an excellent service to the communities we serve, focusing on preventing crime and harm which is impacting on our neighbourhoods, particularly to those who are most vulnerable. When crimes have occurred, timely and thorough investigations will be conducted to help ensure offenders will be brought to justice.”
