MORE THAN 400 MUSICIANS CAN'T BE WRONG: A 'CAN-DO' ATTITUDE TO SUPPORT FOOD BANK

More than 400 musicians will be making tracks to the Kingston Centre on Saturday (Dec 20) to entertain the public while also swelling donations for the Food Bank.

Milton Keynes Music Hub have teamed up with the Food Bank for the event, which is being supported by Tesco.

Music will come from classical string orchestras, choirs and quartets, through to rock bands and percussion ensembles.

Particpants of all ages and abilities – amateurs and professionals – will be spreading Christmas cheer and every participant will themselves bring a can of food to help swell the supplies.

The scheme is hoping to raise enough cans and money to support those in desperate need over the cold winter months.

This year, the MK Food Bank has distributed over 12,000 emergency food parcels already,” said David Rose, Vice Principal of Community Learning MK and Head of the Music Faculty.

The event on December 20 aims to increase this total and also provide residents with the opportunity to listen to a diverse range of music,” he added.

If you can, please give a can or two, or pop a few coins in the charity pot and help make a real difference.
