MPs thrilled as Maple Centre opens at Milton Keynes Hospital

MPs Iain Stewart and Ben Everitt have shared their delight after the brand new state-of-the-art Maple Centre opened at Milton Keynes University Hospital today (October 31).

The project was backed by £10 million of Government funding after lobbying from Milton Keynes’ MPs and will provide better services for patients.

It will provide same day emergency care for patients and enable them to receive treatment without being admitted to hospital and includes a new 26 bed ward.

The MK MPs were given a tour of the new facility by the hospital’s CEO Joe Harrison and were impressed by the attention to detail in every aspect of the building.

Iain Stewart, the MP for Milton Keynes South, said: “I welcomed the opportunity to have a tour of the Maple Centre prior to its opening and I was seriously impressed at this new facility.
