Paraffinalia brings giant puppetry and pyrotechnics to the park...

Milton Keynes residents wrapped up warm and made tracks to Campbell Park on Saturday evening, for the return of Festive Road’s Paraffinalia event.

More than 2,500 people attended the visual feast, which included fire performers, a lantern parade, drummers, interactive activities; and a fabulous lampshade tree where people could sit and enjoy food supplied by local artisans.

There were also specially commissioned installations, including one created by BTEC students from Stantonbury Campus.

The highlight of the evening was the large scale outdoor theatre show which included amazing giant puppetry, a specially designed soundscape, pyrotechnics, and fire sculptures.

Festive Road were supported by funders and partners including Arts Council England, MK Community Foundation, MK Council, CMK Town Council, Stony Stratford Town Council, Kents Hill & Monkston Parish Council, The Parks Trust, MK Gallery, and Events Managed; plus all their volunteers.
