Royal Mail post box in Milton Keynes now has its own 'crowning glory'!

A post box in Newport Pagnell now has its own 'crowning glory' - a topper marking the Platinum Jubilee.

Sarah Quittenton is responsible for this knitted creation on Wordsworth Avenue, which comes complete with cheery looking guards giving the salute, and a couple of HM the Queen's beloved corgis all spaced around her crown.

The attention to detail even sees the Queen pictured with her famous handbag!

"I made it during the evenings over the last three months and popped it on one of our local post boxes. It looked quite bare after I removed the Easter topper I had made," Sarah told Total MK.

"We have a street party organised in June to mark this special occasion and celebrate our Queen’s incredible reign over the last seven decades.  We have a lovely local area, and following the pandemic I really hope to help keep our amazing community spirit going and encourage people to continue to being kind," Sarah added.
