Teenage boys arrested after man in his 70s is pushed from mobility scooter and assaulted

Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of grievous bodily harm which occurred in Milton Keynes.

At around 2.40pm on Monday (29/6) the victim, a man aged in his seventies, was pushed from his mobility scooter and then assaulted by two offenders in Ravensgill Court in Heelands.

The victim is still in hospital.

Nothing was stolen from the victim.

Officers have made two arrests in connection with this incident.

Investigating officer, PC James Elliott, of Milton Keynes police station, said: “This was a terrifying experience for the victim, who was pushed from his mobility scooter and then assaulted, leaving him with injuries requiring hospital treatment.

“I understand that this could cause worry within the community in Heelands, Milton Keynes, however I would like to offer reassurance to the public that we have made two arrests in connection with this incident.

“I am however seeking witnesses, or anyone who has information relating to it.

“If anyone believes they saw this incident taking place, or anything in the build up to it, we would like to hear from you.

> Two 16-year-old boys, both from Milton Keynes, have been arrested in connection with this incident and bailed until 26 July.
