Woman threatened with knife during daytime robbery in Milton Keynes underpass

Police in Milton Keynes are appealing for witnesses after a robbery yesterday (Wed).

It happened some time between 11am and 11.30am when the victim, a woman in her twenties, was walking under the Willen Roundabout underpass leading towards Willen Park when she was approached by a man.

The man pulled out a knife and demanded the victim hand over her phone. He then asked the victim to log into her mobile banking app and demanded she transfer money to another account. He also took her mobile number and called her later that day threatening her and demanding she transfer more money.

Money was taken from the victims bank account and nothing else was stolen and the victim was not injured.

The offender is described as a white man in his mid-thirties with a slim build and around 5ft 10in tall. He had brown spiky hair, was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and a black facemask. He spoke with a northern accent.

Investigating officer PC Jo Hudson, based at Milton Keynes police station said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim, and I am asking for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may have seen the man described in the area at the time to please get in touch.
