A peek at the new season attractions at Milton Keynes Theatre

While we are buzzing with all things panto this month, it's worth noting that Milton Keynes Theatre has just issued its new season listings, so forget about those Christmas chores for a moment, and check in with some of the shows heading our way in 2019.


They are all on sale now - and if you are stuck for presents, something among this lot might dig you out of a hole...

The stage adaptation of The Girl on the Train makes a scheduled stop here in January (23-26) with former EastEnders star Samantha Womack signed up. She was sensational in panto, and even better when she starred in The Addams Family last year.


Harper Lee's classic To Kill A Mockingbird arrives in February (18-23) Set in the Deep South, the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel sees racial injustice divide a small-town community. With integrity and compassion, lawyer Atticus Finch seeks the truth.

His courageous daughter, Scout, brings hope to a neighbourhood in turmoil.


Don your stockings and go revel in the time warp as The Rocky Horror Show makes its return in February (4-9) starring former Strictly pro Joanne Clifton and A1 pop prince Ben Adams as Janet and Brad. Dom 'Hello...I'M ON THE PHONE!' Doly will narrate.


Take That fans will be enamoured with hit musical The Band which will be bursting with pop classics from the famous five in March (5-9) and Alexandra Burke will let her voice loose as Rachel Marron, when she reprises her role in The Bodyguard.


Other temptations for theatre lovers? Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake, Welsh National Opera, and Anton Du Beke and Erin Boag are all making tracks to the venue in the spring.
