Coming to a rabbit hole near you in Milton Keynes!

Alice’s Wonderland Adventure – a fun-for-all showcase of the Lewis Carroll stories – comes to the Milton Keynes area in December courtesy of local drama troupe Tread the Boards Theatre Group.

Shoe-horning all the bizarre nonsense of the Mad Hatter, March Hare and White Rabbit into a couple of hours of staged mirth is local writer Mike Ames who also directs this production.

The venue will be Lovat Hall, Silver Street, Newport Pagnell marking a welcome return to the town where the group first performed over 30 years ago.

“The group was formed in 1986 as part of the Adult Education programme and based in the Ousedale School Drama Studio,” explained Mike who has been with the Group almost since the beginning.

As a registered charity the Group strives to enable those needing extra support to gain access to plays and pantomimes at a substantially reduced rate. They also offer inexperienced actors the chance to perform without needing to audition.

Tickets for the show are £8 and £6 and the performances are this Friday and Saturday (December 14 and 15) - The shows are 7pm both days with a 2pm matinee on the Saturday.

The group’s website here gives more details and a booking line.
