'JUST AS YOU SHOULD SEE A SHAKESPEARE PLAY, YOU SHOULD SEE A CHRISTIE PLAY...'

Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None will raise the chill factor at MK Theatre, this evening.

This is the Queen of Crime at her most chilling...

Ten guests arrive on a remote, storm lashed island off the coast of Devon.

But their host, an eccentric millionaire, is missing.

A recorded message accusing each of them of having a guilty secret is aired, and one by one the visitors begin to die.

With only the deceased visitors believed to be innocent, who can be the killer?

It is the world's best-selling mystery ever – with more than 100 million copies of the book sold – and for their 10th anniversary production, The Agatha Christie Theatre Company have pieced together a great company of actors.

Paul Nicholas, Frazer Hines, Ben Nealon, Suzan Penhaligon and Colin Buchanan join one-time Blue Peter presenter Mark Curry to do justice to the work.

It is very, very good quality, and when I was asked if I wanted to be involved with this, it was an easy decision,” Mark told Total MK.

Mark is passionate about Christie's work, and about this play in general.

There's not much that would tear him away from the delivery – although tennis is one of those things that succeeded.

He recently took a week off to MC at the AEGON tennis tournament, which precedes Wimbledon: “I thought about asking for that time off too, but that might have been pushing it!” he laughs.

Mark is a busy man. When not hard at work as an actor and presenter, he splits his time at his homes in between Spain and Yorkshire (“the sun is always shining!”) and has somehow managed to train as a counsellor and a life coach.

People have always found me easy to talk to and discreet, and I am a very, very good listener,” he says.

The day job is preventing him from putting his skills into use in the more conventional sense, but he promises, “I am a good life coach within the company!”

And Then There Were None begins its six day stay in this evening, from 7.30pm.

Just the same as you should see a Shakespeare play, every theatre-goer should see an Agatha Christie play,” Mark says, advising you to take a ticket for the work which is a dark as it is deserving of your support.
