THIS WEEK AT THE STABLES: WITH TIM FINN AND KEN DUNCAN, THE FORTUNES AND THE DUTCH SWING COLLEGE BAND

At The Stables on Thursday night (July 9), White Cloud, a show with Tim Finn and Ken Duncan.

Two of New Zealand's most celebrated artists pull together their talents to examine the cloudy question of identity and its powerful relationship with places and people.

Tim Finn has penned new material that is woven together with stories and observations brought to life by actors, to create an immersive music and spoken word experience.

Both Finn and Duncan have drawn on their family histories, letters, journals and photographs for White Cloud.

The show - a fundraising concert for the Wavendon Allmusic Plan - is booking at £21.

The Fortunes arrives on Friday (July 10) with the show, Past and Present.

Join them in rekindling musical memories of the 60's, with songs by Marmalade, Billy J Kramer and Love Affair figuring in the set list.

The Dutch Swing College Band makes its return on Saturday (July 11) with a repertoire delivering traditional favourites, originals and some Ellington and Basie tunes.

Expect highly charged jazz by the leaders of the pack.

Following five weeks of workshops to develop technique, participants of this year's 2015 Rock Experience course show the fruits of their labours on Sunday night, at the Rock Experience Concert.

Doors at 7.30pm, tickets are £6.50.
