Settle down and let Tread the Boards entertain you with performances of About Alice, this week.

The ingenious black comedy with adult themes written by Charles Laurence.

Flirtatious Alice, the second wife of a famous sculptor, has indomitable humour and a lusty spirit that never let her down.. so, when Peggy, a businesslike publisher, arrives with a sexy young gigolo in tow and a proposal to publish the renowned sculptor's memoirs, Alice has no trouble dispatching the publisher but retaining the young man!

But then Peggy returns with some news which will stun Alice leading to many twists, turns and suspense until the very end.

Charles Laurence was a TV and film actor in the 1960s who turned to playwriting most successfully with several West End productions receiving critical acclaim.

Performances are at 7.45pm on Friday and Saturday (August 4 & 5) at the Ellen Pettit Memorial Hall in Woburn Sands High Street.

Tckets will be available on the door at £7 for adults, concessions £5.
