Award-Winning Group Only Men Aloud announce Milton Keynes return

Ten years ago, Only Men Aloud became the Last Choir Standing, winning the BBC1 prime time show and becoming Britain’s favourite choir.

To celebrate this anniversary, Only Men Aloud are heading back on the road to perform their Decade Tour – a celebration of the last ten years.

They will be visiting venues across the UK, singing many of their hits from the last decade and delighting audiences with their unique sound, style and perfect harmonies - and The Stables is on the itinerary.

Only Men Aloud have asked their very loyal fan group what their favourite songs have been from over the past ten years, and many of these will now feature in the Decade Tour.

Since winning Last Choir Standing, Only Men Aloud have gone on to achieve great success. In 2009, their album Band of Brothers won a Classical Brit Award for Best Album of the Year and the group have since achieved worldwide record sales of 300,000. Having recorded five studio albums, plans are taking place for a sixth.

They have toured all over the world every year since winning the show, including many successful tours of the USA, with notable performances at the famous Ravinia Festival in Chicago and the North American Festival of Wales in Minneapolis.

Over the years, the hugely popular group have built up a strong fan base across the world and were honoured to be asked to sing at the London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony at the very moment the Olympic Flame was lit. The performance was broadcast to an estimated global TV audience of 900 million people.

They have performed twice at The Royal Variety Performance, been seen on a wide variety of television programmes and are familiar faces at sporting events; they sang at the opening ceremony of the Ryder Cup in 2010 and the Ashes in 2015.

Recent prestigious engagements have included performing at The UEFA Champions League Final Celebrations in Cardiff, and a trip to Mumbai in India for the group’s very first appearance in Asia!

Joining Only Men Aloud for their Decade Tour dateswill be special guest Gruffydd Wyn Roberts, the talented classical crossover artist who came to the public’s attention after making the final of this year’s series of Britain’s Got Talent.

During the series, Gruffydd received widespread acclaim for his big voice and professional performances under pressure, with the show judges’ describing his performances as “epic”, “phenomenal” and “outrageously good”, and Simon Cowell himself calling Gruffydd, “The musical version of Rocky”.

Olny Men Aloud will be live at The Stables in Wavendon on December 11.
