CHANCE TO EXPLORE THE RICH HISTORY OF ST. MARY MAGDALENE CHURCH AT CHRISTMAS FAYRE

Little Brickhill Church is hosting its Christmas Fayre on Sunday (Nov 30). The Church of St Mary Magdalene dates back to the 12th century and as one of the oldest churches in the area, it has a suitably rich history and some fantastic features - including an ancient font and medieval graffiti. The church also has a so-called 'leper's squint,' a hole that would allow lepers and undesirables the chance to listen to services without mixing with the general congregation centuries ago.  Imagine that! The building needs regular maintenance and proceeds from the annual Fayre help to keep St Mary Magdalene in good form. You are welcome to visit on Sunday between midday and 2pm and can make the most of shopping time with local crafts, home-made cakes, toys and books for sale. Add in a tombola, lucky dip and raffle and who knows what you'll return home with? Kids will be entertained with face painting, and adults can enjoy themselves with a mince pie and a glass or two of mulled wine.  Enjoy.
