Coffee and a cake? BMI The Saxon Clinic serve up for Macmillan's Biggest Coffee Morning

Staff at BMI The Saxon Clinic in Milton Keynes are pulling on their aprons and firing up their ovens in preparation for the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday (September 29).

Patients and visitors to the hospital on Saxon Street are being invited to have a cup of coffee and a slice of cake as part of the annual event. Staff are looking to add more coffers to the collection this year with a cake and coffee sale from 10am to 2pm in the main reception area.

Hospital executive director Moira Stokoe said: “Macmillan Cancer Care is a charity which is extremely close to our hearts. We regularly see people who have been touched by cancer, and we see how difficult it is sometimes to cope with the disease. Macmillan Cancer Care is doing an incredible job, and we are pleased to support their work.”

BMI The Saxon Clinic is part of BMI Healthcare, the UK’s largest network of private hospitals with 59 centres in England, Scotland and Wales. Thanks to the generosity of staff, patients and visitors last year, BMI was able to hand over a cheque for almost £12,000 to Macmillan Cancer Care.
