Enjoy a celebration with Wolverton's Gilbert & Sullivan Society this Christmas!

In March of this year, the Wolverton Gilbert and Sullivan Society had just one week to go before performing 'Calamity Jane' at the Stantonbury Theatre when the coronavirus impacted everything.

The government chose to place communities in ‘lockdown’ and “Calamity Jane” was postponed.

Fast-forward to the here and now, and that postponement is indefinite and the group has been unable to sing together as a whole group since.

Communation between members has been, for the most part, online.

However, the society's chairman Graham Mitchell and musical director Mike Crofts came up with one idea that would mean the group could keep in touch with each other musically; by producing a CD.

Society members have thrown in their lot with the equally enthusiastic backing of local musicians. All individual performers have either been recorded at home or in Mike's  studio.

This CD, professionally produced and including, Hark! The Herald Angels Sing’, ‘O Little Town of Bethlehem’ and ‘In The Bleak Midwinter’ will warm your hearts during these difficult times.

The CD is £12, and you can place your order here
