Gamers delight comes to Milton Keynes with launch of Pixel Bunker arcade

Gamers are in for an absolute treat following yesterday's (June 4) launch of The Pixel Bunker, an arcade of retro video games that will wow you from its base in Lloyds Court in Central Milton Keynes.

The awesome arcade features classic games include Space Invaders, Star Wars, Donkey Kong and Street Fighter 2.

We also spied 'nice' games like Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles and Mappy, and 'nasties' like Alien and The House of the Dead.

Stepping into the dark arcade with its pops of changing colours and the enchanting noises of the machines was like entering another world - and it's one you are welcome to enjoy for quite some time; you pay once upon arrival and then all play is free for the duration of your stay (choose from three sessions daily - morning, afternoon or evening).

The retro theme isn't just confined to the machines either; 80s nostalgia frames the games from up on high, with childhoodf toys, fizzy drinks and over-sized drumstick lollies among the memory-evoking extras on display.

The Pixel Bunker might only have just opened its doors to the public, but there is more excitement to come with the imminent arrival of The National Film & Sci-Fi Museum which will thrill movie fans at the same location.
