History corner with The Living Archive: Explore canal history at the DMK Soulbury Pumphouse exhibition

Living Archive MK has recently been working with the Canal & River Trust create family activities, educational resources and exhibitions to illuminate the history of the Soulbury Pumphouse site, on the Grand Union canal adjacent to the Three Locks pub.

The Pumphouse has been the subject of a National Lottery Heritage-funded renovation scheme which is now nearing completion.

On now at the Discover Milton Keynes space in Milton Keynes Central Library, you can see an exhibition about this work, which will run until 20 July.

If you're in CMK pop in and visit – and see if you can find VIP exhibits Rosie & Jim, kindly donated  for the exhibition by Stoke Bruerne Canal Museum, who have also lent other fascinating pieces of canal history.

You can find out more about the Pump House renovation project, see the entries in the recent photography competition and pick up information about the walking trail and app created for a walk along the towpath from Soulbury to Fenny Stratford.

The exhibition is open during library opening hours.
